UPDATED COURSE INFORMATION FORT SAINT JOHN SKYDIVING HAS BEEN POSTPONED ONE WEEK DUE TO THE WILDFIRE SMOKE
Hello fellow (soon to be) First Jump SOLO Skydivers and Tandem Skydive Students!
This is SKYDIVE CANADA, and our mission statement is: “SHUT UP AND JUMP!”.

This message is to confirm that we have recently been approved by Transport Canada and the Canadian Sport Parachuting Association to ADJUST skydiving operations at a private airport just outside of Fort Saint John to Sept 22, 23, and 24 weekend.

We will be conducting a FREE Ground School in two different locations, mainly on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the evenings Sept 20 and 21 and Sept 26, 27 and 28) to prepare first time Jump SOLO jumpers for their jump. Tandem Students do not need to attend the course, however if you are curious and would like the free educational experience, and/or you want to try to do BOTH the tandem and then the SOLO jump, we highly encourage that you attend the training course!
FORT SAINT JOHN TRAINING COURSES:
The Wednesday Sept 20 course will start at 6pm and will be conducted at the CHARLIE LAKE COMMUNITY HALL (north of Fort Saint John).

The Thursday Sept 21 Courses will be held in DAWSON CREEK and FSJ, and will start at 6pm and will be conducted at two locations:
The CHARLIE LAKE COMMUNITY HALL (just Northwest of FSJ)

The CUTBANK COMMUNITY HALL in Dawson Creek

It is not mandatory to attend the ground school (if you just plan to do a Tandem Skydive), however you must attend AND PASS the ground school course before you are cleared to do the SOLO skydive.

If you have any questions, before contacting us to ask generic questions, please visit our FAQ page to get a better understanding first, and if you still have questions then feel free to reach out to us

The FAQ page can be found here: https://skydivecanada.ca/frequently-asked-questions/

Deposits are not mandatory, however people who pay in full get first priority to jump, and people who just pay the deposit only, will get second priority for, IF (and when), they can jump.

Due to the nature and cost of this type of business everyone MUST REGISTER AND PAY A NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT so we can justify flying the aircraft to you! Anyone who is skeptical about paying a deposit to someone online, we can provide you with references and you can also check with the Canadian Sport Parachute Association to verify our legitimacy.

Skydiving tends to have a lot of “chicken-outs” (who don’t show up at the last minute), and these last-minute cancellations are very financially damaging to our type of business, so the non-refundable deposit is there to offset the financial anguish caused by the individuals who do not just SHUT UP AND JUMP!

Please sign up and pay your deposit to jump@skydivecanada.ca, as soon as possible, and then we will put you on the list to become one of our skydiving brothers and sisters!

Actual jumping will occur at the following locations:

Lastly, Don’t forget to complete your Smartwaiver!

Tandem skydiving you watch a 10 minute video and then go skydive from 10,000 ft strapped to an instructor…

The first jump course you sit through about 6 hours of ground school training then do a couple hours of practical training when you arrive at the drop zone and then you go up to 3,000 feet time out on in the wing of the airplane hang and then let go and as soon as you let go of the airplane the instructor opens your own parachute for you and you get talk down on radio and the radio guy on the ground will guide you in to tell you when the flare so you have a nice soft landing.
